Watch Giants’ Chris Heston wrap up no-hitter vs Mets (Video)

Giants rookie Chris Heston made some history on Tuesday night with his amazing performance against the Mets
The San Francisco Giants went into Citi Field to face the New York Mets on Tuesday night and they did so with a rookie on the mound in Chris Heston. Well by the time the night was over in the Big Apple, Heston ended up etching his name in the history books.
Heston went the complete game, striking out 11 batters in the Giants’ 5-0 win over the Mets. However, the most important stat of all was that he did not give up a hit. Yes, the 27-year-old rookie went in and tossed a no-hitter on the road against the Mets, becoming the third rookie in the organization’s history to accomplish the feat.
Here, now, is the footage of Heston striking out Ruben Tejeda to seal the deal on the no-hitter.
While no-hitters are becoming pretty commonplace in this day and age, there’s still no denying that there’s something special about watching a pitcher go through an entire game at this level and not give up a hit.
With the performance, Heston moved to 6-4 on the year for the Giants with a 3.77 ERA and 66 strikeouts.
