Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans seem to be perpetually stuck in turnaround. They never seem to really improve more than marginally, but they aren’t enough of a disaster to require a total tear-down. After last season’s 2-14 record, though, they may have inched closer to it.

Fans continue to back their Titans, despite the front office making decisions as if they are throwing darts at a dart board while drunk, blindfolded and in a different bar than the target.

Can we finally be seeing the start of a turnaround? Marcus Mariota looks like a great prospect, though they will have to have patience with him as he sands off the rough edges of his game. Less certain is fellow rookie Dorial Green-Beckham, who had his fair share of red flags and dropped to the second round despite having potential first-round talent.

The Titans have already made their fans suffer through imploding wide receivers (does nobody there recall Kenny Britt’s issues?) so one hopes they don’t do so again. Luckily Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright could keep progressing, giving the Titans’ new quarterback some help.

Of course, in some ways Titans fans can’t totally be miserable because unlike some of the teams on this list (and many not here) they had a franchised moved to them not from them. Mind you, the franchise started off hot (a Super Bowl appearance in their first season in Tennessee and four playoff appearances in five years) only to cool off tremendously at this point.

The last six years have been especially tough on the fans in Tennessee, as all but two have resulted in sub-.500 records.
