New Orleans Pelicans
Anthony Davis deserves better.
Part (or most) of the issue for New Orleans is a ghastly color scheme. Unfortunately the team just changed the look, meaning that it isn’t in line for an update just yet. Still, there is nothing visually appealing about the Pelicans at this point, and for a player as “cool” as Davis, that is a problem.
Because Davis is vying to become a new centerpiece of the league, the Pelicans have a very real possibility of participating in the NBA’s flagship Christmas Day broadcast this season. If that does happen, the new jerseys for the occasion, which were recently leaked, are tremendous. It is probably unlikely that New Orleans would simply adopt these on a full-time basis, but it would be a sharp upgrade.
It’s understandable that the Pelicans are going for the voodoo-type scheme, given their geographical and cultural ties, but for a team on the upswing, a new look is in order. Do it for The Brow.
