Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire

Waiver Wire
Welcome to another edition of Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire. We here at Fantasy CPR strive to give you the best advice possible to help you in ever aspect of your fantasy sports teams. In order for a player to be featured here the player must be under 50% ownership in ESPN.com leagues. This advice can be good for most teams across most formats and I will try to mention if i like a guy in a different format.

Maikel Franco, Phillies: Franco is now in the midst of a 9-game hitting streak. He is playing well and it is always a good idea to pick up a hot third baseman. Franco has also shown some nice power for a 3B.
Joey Butler, Rays: Butler has been a solid offensive player for the Rays lately. He displays some nice power and speed and could be a guy who winds up with 15 HRs and 15 SBs if he continues to get playing time. He could wind up hitting his way into solid playing time for the Rays. He is batting a nice .309 with 4 HRs and 14 RBI.
Kevin Pillar, Blue Jays: Pillar has four multi-hit games in his last eight games. He is playing well and all signs are pointing to him continuing. He is supplying more than enough offensive firepower to keep his place in the Blue Jays lineup secure and I recommend adding him across all formats.
Yonder Alonso, Padres: Alonso is back in the lineup and back to playing pretty well. He is not batting .350 with 16 runs, two HRs, 17 RBI, and 2 steals. He is certainly worth a pick up if he is available in your league.
Brett Lawrie, Athletics: Lawrie has been a little cold over his last three or four games, but other than that he has been worth a pickup. Lawrie provides some decent numbers for what is a difficult position. Sometimes it is tough to find a decent 2B and Lawrie is eligible for second and third bases.

Adeiny Hechavarria, Marlins: Hechavarria is producing at a very solid clip for the Marlins. He is also considered the #5 SS in ESPN.com leagues right now. You could certainly do a lot worse for a SS in most formats. If he is out there in your league go pick him up and ride him while he is hot.
As always we here at Fantasy CPR thank you for stopping by and we wish you the best of luck in all of your leagues.
