The WWE Superstars have taken to outlets like Twitter to express their sadness and share their memories of WWE Legend “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.
This has turned out to be a rather sad day in the world of Sports Entertainment. Just a little while ago news hit the internet that one of the most recognizable and beloved WWE Legends of all-time, the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, had passed away at the age of 69.
If there was ever a WWE Superstar who could let loose on the microphone and command the respect of anyone who could hear his boisterous voice it was the American Dream. One of the most famous promos that Rhodes ever cut was back on October 29, 1985 for Mid-Atlantic Wrestling when he addressed now-fellow WWE Legend Ric Flair about “putting Hard Times” on the world for taking Dusty Rhodes out.

The American Dream leaves behind one heck of a legacy; not only for the achievements that he has made both inside and out of the squared circle, but those he leaves behind. Dusty Rhodes leaves behind four children; Dustin Rhodes, Cody Rhodes, Teil Runnels Gergel, and Kristin Runnels Ditto.
Many in the WWE Universe will recognize two of Dusty’s children. Dustin and Cody Rhodes are well-known to fans of the WWE as the outrageous duo of Goldust and Stardust. At this point we have yet to hear any comments from either Goldust or Stardust, as they are surely spending time with their families and grieving the loss of their father.
The one thing we know for sure is that while the American Dream may be released of his earthly burdens, he will not soon be forgotten. The name will not only live on in the storied history of Sports Entertainment, but in the hearts of those who knew him well and the minds of those who tuned in every week to see what he had to say next.
