Here are the top ten batter vs pitcher matchups to attack on this Friday, June 12.
10. Alex Gordon-OF-Kansas City Royals: The I-95 Series rematch is the interleague matchup for this weekend as the Royals visit St. Louis to face the Jaime Garcia and the Cardinals tonight. Alex Gordon has hit Garcia well in his career going 4-9 (.444) with a double, a home run, and five RBI.
9. Xander Bogaerts-SS-Boston Red Sox: The Red Sox season is quickly getting away from them, but one bright spot over the last few months has been the emergence of Xander Bogaerts. As Boston returns home tonight, he’ll face Drew Hutchinson as he continue to grow as a fantasy option. In his career, Bogaerts is 6-12 (.500) with a double and an RBI against the Blue Jays righty.
8. J.J. Hardy-SS-Baltimore Orioles: In another AL East contest, the O’s host the Yankees at Camden Yards as they take on Michael Pineda. Look for J.J. Hardy to have a good game since he is 6-11 (.545) with three home runs against Pineda in their previous meetings.
