The Florida Gators baseball team showed up to Omaha for the College World Series in about the most awesome way possible

Well, you definitely have to give the Florida Gators baseball team some props. No they haven’t won the College World Series just yet, but they definitely showed how you can make a lasting entrance into Omaha for the tournament.

With the 2015 College World Series officially getting underway on Saturday, the Gators arrived in Omaha on Thursday and they arrived riding in a jet that belonged to none other than The Rolling Stones. Yes, those Rolling Stones.

Now there’s making an entrance, and then there’s this. Showing up on a jet that belongs to The Rolling Stones is an entirely new level of awesome.

For those wondering how this actually came to be, here’s a brief explanation from GatorZone.com:

"If you’re wondering how the Gators ended up leaving for Omaha on Thursday as passengers on the Stones’ plane, more coincidence and the machinations of the charter jet business than anything else. The Stones played at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta on Tuesday night, and flew to Orlando early Wednesday for their show Friday night at the Citrus Bowl. They don’t play again until next Wednesday in Nashville, so with a weekend off in Florida, the plane was bid out for other charter flights."

Well, talk about being in the right place at the right time and under the right circumstances. The Gators might not make it out of Omaha with the national championship, but they’ll always have this to remember from their time spent at the 2015 College World Series.

Florida will open up College World Series play in Omaha on Saturday at 7 PM ET against the Miami Hurricanes in Game 2.
