So let’s jump right in to the top 10 batter vs pitcher options for this Saturday afternoon, June 13.
10. Joe Mauer-1B-Minnesota Twins: Mauer and the Twins have struggled on the road this season despite great play at home. They’ll look to turn things around as they take on Colby Lewis tonight in Texas. Mauer is 5-11 (.455) with a home run and four RBI against Lewis in his career making him worth a look tonight s the first of three 1B on our top ten list for this afternoon.
9. Carlos Gonzalez-OF-Colorado Rockies: CarGo has been stepping things up in June hitting .349 this month with three home runs. He hasn’t gotten much help from the rest of the Rockies lineup, but he should be able to keep things going tonight as he faces Mat Latos whom he has gone 6-19 (.316) with a double and a pair of home runs against in his career.
8. Jhonny Peralta-SS-St. Louis Cardinals: While Peralta doesn’t have the power numbers of some of the other options on this list against today’s opponent, he does have a solid history against Royals’ righty Jeremy Guthrie. As the I-95 series continues, give Peralta a look today based on his 9-25 (.360) with three RBI against Guthrie in the past.
