With so many great matchups to get to, let’s jump right into tonight’s top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups.
10. Justin Turner-3B-Los Angeles Dodgers: Our first option tonight comes from he NL West matchup as the Dodgers head south to take on the Padres. One player to watch is Justin Turner who is 7-14 (.500) with four doubles and three RBI in his career against Ian Kennedy. Turner returned to the lineup last night and as long as he is healthy enough to go on back-to-back day’s after missing a few days with a knee injury.
9. Justin Upton-OF-San Diego Padres: On the other side of that same matchup, the Padres will take on Zack Greinke who they have faced regularly since he joined the Dodgers a few seasons ago. Justin Upton has a good career record against Greinke going 9-23 (.391) with two doubles, a triple, a home run, and three RBI.
8. J.J. Hardy-SS-Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles host the Yankees in another of tonight’s divisional games. They Yankees send veteran CC Sabathia to the mound who has a long history against several of the Orioles hitters. One Baltimore bat to think about getting in your lineup is J.J. Hardy who is 10-29 (.345) against CC in his career with five doubles, a home run, and six RBI.
