WWE Money In The Bank 2015: Preview and predictions
A look at WWE Money in the Bank
WWE Money In the Bank 2015 will be the third pay-per-view event in the last month. Money In The Bank will be live from Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, June 14, and despite the possibility of over-saturation regarding PPV matches, the card is shaping up to be one that will be talked about for quite a while.
Every major title except for John Cena’s United States Championship will be on the line at Money In The Bank. Cena will be in action as well, just in a rematch with Kevin Owens after they tore the house down at WWE Elimination Chamber. More than that, we’ll also get the Money In The Bank Contract Ladder Match that features some of the biggest stars in the company including Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler, and Randy Orton.
The card is shaping up to be so good that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose is currently billed as the third match on the card on WWE.com. Though that doesn’t mean everything, it’s an indication of how good all of these matches on Sunday could be.
With WWE Money In The Bank 2015 just around the corner, let’s see how these matches on the card came to be. Then I’ll give my thoughts as to what I think will go down come Sunday night. Time to dive in.
Pre-Show Kickoff Match: R-Truth vs. King Barrett
The pre-show match between R-Truth and King Barrett really doesn’t have much build up leading into it. The closest thing to a storyline is that the two competitors faced each other as participants in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at Wrestlemania 31 and then faced each other again in the semifinals of the King of the Ring 2015 tournament.
While this match and its outcome are seemingly inconsequential in the grand scheme of the company right now, there should be some quality comedic entertainment from Truth and some good heel behavior from Barrett as the powerhouse in the match. What that means for the quality of the in-ring work remains to be seen.
As for a prediction, I’m going to have to put myself in Truth’s corner for this match. Yes, Barrett holds the title as King; however, Truth has been getting a mini-push over the past few months and a victory here would continue on that same trajectory.
