Dwyane Wade spent a week at Harvard
Dwyane Wade took a week-long business class at Harvard
For the first time in five years, Dwyane Wade isn’t spending this part of the year preparing for and playing in the NBA Finals. Losing LeBron James to Cleveland opens up a lot of time in one’s schedule in June. And Wade has spent his extra time at Harvard.

The 33-year-old Miami Heat guard spent the week taking a four-day course at Harvard titled “The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports.”
No, there were no lectures called “How to Get LeBron James Back.” But Wade seems to have gotten the full college experience, judging by these Instagram photos.
Meeting someone the first week of classes, only to never see them again? Check.
Getting ripped off by the school bookstore? Check. If Wade was there longer than a week, he’d know not to get hoodwinked by the “official” school bookstore.
Also, while those of us who went to journalism school are not familiar with this thing they call “studying,” I’ve been led to believe that it’s something college students do often, for long nights. Check that one off as well.
And graduating, and having the realization that you spent all that money on a small piece of paper: check.
All that was missing was a guy in a poncho playing a guitar. But Wade seems to have gotten the full college experience in just four days. He may wish he was playing in the Finals, but this isn’t a bad alternative.
