player. 86.
The Minnesota Timberwolves won the lottery this year and there might not have been a better time for them to do so. With all the young talent they have acquired these past two seasons, it’s hard to imagine a future in the NBA where they aren’t a legitimate threat in the league.

Winning the lottery is nice, but it won’t matter if they end up blowing all their cash on worthless goods. They won’t be wasting anything on Karl-Anthony Towns with the No. 1 overall pick. Towns has everything you could ever want in a rim protecting big man. He can block shots, guard a back-to-the-basket post player, and even run some pick and roll stuff that will be useful next to Ricky Rubio in Flip Saunders’ offense.

If Towns goes to Minnesota, I could see the Timberwolves becoming a dominant team in the NBA barring any injury. Andrew Wiggins is a stud whose best years are in front of him. If Towns pans out like I believe he will, they will be scary good in the future.
. C. Kentucky. Karl-Anthony Towns. 1
