We all remember R.J. Hunter’s epic shot to take down Baylor in the NCAA Tournament. This is hardly the criteria needed to be a legitimate NBA draft prospect, but at the bare minimum it helps his draft stock. He has the physical tools necessary to be a solid NBA point guard, and although he will need some time to figure out how to succeed at the next level, once he does there is no reason to think he won’t be a great asset for the Mavericks.

Besides, we all know how well the Rajon Rondo project worked out in Dallas. So drafting someone that the organization can develop themselves could prove to be the best medicine for the Rondo hangover they are currently feeling. R.J. Hunter seems like the right fit for the Dallas Mavericks at No. 21 overall.
. PG. Georgia State. R.J. Hunter. 21. player. 79
