Fantasy Football: Top 50 RBs (31-40)

Top 50 RBs For PPR Leagues(31-40)
We are continuing on with our in-depth look at my top 50 RBs for PPR leagues. I prefer to play in mostly PPR leagues and think that they are just a whole lot more fun than regular standard leagues. I enjoy playing in standard leagues as well, but like the high scoring fun that comes with PPR leagues. Most times for me the rankings don’t change a whole lot, but there are certainly backs and offenses that I prefer to own in either league. For instance I never did care to own Marshawn Lynch or Alfred Morris in PPR leagues.

40. Bishop Sankey: It is so hard to know what the Titans are going to do at RB this year. It seems they were never too happy with Sankey last year and never really let him loose. If they do and you can draft him this late you could have a great bargain on your hands. If they don’t and you draft him here you are not really out much. That is a win-win for us.
39. Devonta Freeman: Here is another situation that we may not have a good read on until much closer to the situation.
38. Tre Mason: It looks like with the Rams taking Todd Gurley that Mason may have just lost his grip that he gained on the starter’s job in St. Louis. You can take a flier here, but I think I will wind up moving him down as long as Gurley is healthy.
37. Doug Martin: Martin outplayed Simms last year, but it does not seem to matter to the Tampa Bay coaching staff. They are high on Simms and will likely give him the larger share of the carries. Martin is a solid flier type of player as it seems he is a bit more talented than Simms.

36. Shane Vereen: Vereen will likely have some solid value particularly in PPR leagues. Most guesses are that Vereen will primarily be used as a third-down back in the Giants scheme, but running behind Rashad Jennings who spent a portion of last year injured could extend Vereen’s value.
35. Charles Sims: Simms is the man who the coaches love in Tampa Bay. I am not sure why as he barely averaged two yards per carry last season. He could be a steal at this price if he does well, but he could also be a bust if Martin outplays him and takes his job.
34. Ryan Mathews: I really don’t even want to try to guess what Chip Kelly is going to do with all of those RBs in Philadelphia. However if there is anyone who can make them all valuable in fantasy football it is him.
33. Chris Ivory: Well he is the starter and he was decent last year, however I will most likely be easing him down my draft board as the season approaches.
32. LeGarrette Blount: Blount was actually a pretty solid starter for the Patriots last year. I always have a hard time owning Patriots RBs, but Blount does score a lot of TDs. He is worth a gamble.
31. Tevin Coleman: We may be swapping him and Freeman back and forth a few times this season. As of now I prefer Coleman just a bit because I think Freeman had his shot to keep the Falcons from drafting Coleman. I also think that they are playing this game to get Coleman to step up and deliver the good a bit early.
As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you all the best of luck as you prepare for your fantasy football drafts this fall!
