The Cavaliers vs. Warriors NBA Finals series is down to what could be it’s last game, but can LeBron James and company force a Game 7?
When the Cleveland Cavaliers lost Kyrie Irving in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, it looked like the series was going to be defined by that injury and rob us of a great NBA Finals. That wasn’t the case though, as the Cavaliers have battled back but remain in a 3-2 hole following the blitzing Golden State put on them over the course of the last two games.
After going up 2-1 in the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers are losers of back-to-back games and are now on the ropes heading into Game 6. A third straight loss won’t just be devastating, but it will end their season and send everyone into a frenzy about how LeBron James returning was a mistake.
On the flip side of that championship coin, the Golden State Warriors are in a great position to claim their first title in over 40 years, as it’s been far too long of a wait for most fans to care about LeBron James’ feelings int he matter. This isn’t about writing a good story, it’s about winning a title.
Besides, while the narrative written will be about how LeBron James failed to win a title, a win in the NBA Finals could be the start of a Dubs dynasty.
