LeBron James returned to Cleveland this year but ended the season empty handed. He wasn’t the MVP, he didn’t win the NBA Finals and he’s being dragged through the mud despite being the best player on the planet. Not everyone is jumping on LeBron James over losing the NBA Finals, but the consensus seems to be that it was his fault.

Apparently, averaging a triple-double in the NBA Finals gets you no love.

LeBron is getting love from special places though, as Cavaliers fans aren’t the only ones showing him that they’re here for him in his time of need.

After the Cavaliers lost the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors, comedienne Amy Schumer tweeted out some words of encouragement to her friend, LeBron James.

Schumer and LeBron James are starring in a film this summer called Trainwreck which is based on a script written by the comedienne and is directed by Judd Apatow. That’s where this little friendship started and it’s cool to see two wildly different characters coming together like this.

She has a point too, as Schumer isn’t far off when she says LeBron James is going to be just fine — because he’s still the best player on the planet.
