The Baltimore Orioles hit EIGHT home runs in a 19-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Tuesday night’s game for the Baltimore Orioles started with a leadoff home run by Manny Machado. The 26,964 fans at Camden Yards would be treated to seven more homers through the course of the night. Suppose you could say the Orioles fans definitely got a bang for their buck!

For the next three minutes, sit back and enjoy all eight of Baltimore homers in all their splendor.
Machado would lead off the 2nd inning and crank his second home run of the night. The first one was off Philadelphia Phillies starter Jerome Williams; this one was off Dustin McGowan.
Still in the 2nd inning, Jimmy Paredes and Chris Parmelee would also smash solo home runs. McGowan probably should have thrown in the towel at that point.
The Orioles only multi-RBI home run came in the 3rd inning courtesy of David Lough.
The fourth inning would have a familiar beginning with a solo shot courtesy of a guy you expect to homer on a binge night, Mr. Chris Davis.
With Justin De Fratus pitching for the Phillies, Chris Parmelee would hit his second jack of the game (and of the season) in the bottom of the 6th.
The eighth and final home run of the night for the Baltimore Orioles was in the 8th inning and would be their fourth of the leadoff variety. Ryan Flaherty would hit the first pitch he saw from Jeff Francoeur (yes the outfielder was the Philadelphia Phillies pitcher during the 7th and 8th innings) to deep centerfield.
According to Baseball Almanac, the American League total for most homers by a team in a game is 10. Ironically on September 14, 1987 it was the Baltimore Orioles watching the ball fly out of the park. For the National League, the record for most homers by a team in a game is 9. The irony runs rich in this circumstance as it was the Philadelphia Phillies who were victimized back on September 4, 1999.
