Well, this is not good news for the Washington Nationals, as disaster may have struck for Bryce Harper and the team on Thursday night against the Rays.

At one point in the game, Harper fielded a ball in the outfield and it seemed about as routine a play as any. Well, it turned out to be anything but.

When Harper was going to make the throw in from the grass, something must have gave way in his knee, as he went down in some clear pain.

Again, the play itself seemed pretty routine, but something went wrong here. It appears that when he was trying to plant his foot to make the throw, the knee just gave way.

Either way, Harper was on the ground for a while as he was being checked on by the trainers. Now the somewhat good news is that he was able to limp off the field with some help. For Nationals fans and the organization, they’re hoping that this isn’t as serious as some were making it out to be.

Still, for it to be serious enough for him to leave the game is concerning.
