Top 50 RBs For PPR Leagues (11-20)

We roll on with delivering to your our top 50 RBs for PPR leagues. So far we have given you the 21-50 and today we move into the top 20 RBs. We know that lots of things can and will change, but we need to start evaluating now so that nothing will catch us by surprise. If you are here reading this then you will be one of the few players at your draft who are prepared for the 2015 season and not drafting players based on what kind of season they had in 2014. Every year in every league that I play in there are guys who show up and think the term ‘history tends to repeat itself’ relates to fantasy football, when in most ways it does not. In some ways it sure does, but in terms of thinking that because a guy was good last year so hell be good this year that is a pipe dream.

20. Todd Gurley: I think that Gurley is the real deal and he is one of the few rookies that I will look to draft across all formats. Usually I will only draft rookie RBs in dynasty or larger keeper formats, but I think that Gurley will be an early impact player and make a difference right away.

19. Melvin Gordon: Gordon is another player that I think is the real deal and the main reason that I have him above Gurley for right now is because I suspect that he will be utilized more in the passing game and this is PPR rankings.

18. Jonathan StewartFor those of you who have been drafting Stewart for the past few years expecting a breakout season I think if you give him one more shot you may be happy you did. I expect that Stewart and the rest of the Panthers will look a lot better this year as long as Cam Newton is fully healthy and from every report I have seen he should be.

17. Alfred MorrisWhen I ran my numbers I am not real sure how I managed to have Morris this high, but for right now I will leave him here. Morris has a great nose for the end zone and that has been his saving grace in PPR leagues. Personally I would not want to own him at this point in your draft, but I think that this is where he will fall and assuming he stays healthy he will likely return this kind of value.

16. Carlos HydeHyde will likely get the bulk of the early down and passing down work in San Francisco this year. As long as he does I like him right here. If news breaks or we begin to see that he is only the early down back I will probably be sliding him down this board.

15. Lamar MillerMiller seems to be finding his niche in Miami. Right now he looks to be the feature back and should be a solid RB2 across most formats.

14. Frank GoreI actually am pretty excited about the prospects of Gore in the Colts offense. I am not sure that anyone else is, but he is a back who can do it all and I think he has at least a season or maybe two left in him.

  • 13. Justin ForsettI never really thought that Forsett would be this good, but hey I am willing to ride with it. Last year he was incredible and I have no reason to expect anything less from him this year.

    12. Mark IngramIngram really came into his own last season and would have finished much better had he not missed some time last year. Spiller could stand to steal some touches, but the Saints will be looking to replace Jimmy Graham‘s touches so there should be plenty of footballs to go around.

    11. DeMarco MurrayHere is where things start to get a little shady. I am not sure that anyone has a clue what the Eagles are going to do this season, but for now we have to believe that Murray will get plenty of looks in this high-octane offense until we see otherwise. I am not sure I want to draft any of the Eagles backs, but they all could be high-risk high-reward players.
