Fantasy Football: Top 50 RBs (1-10)

Well we have finally made it to the top ten of our top 50 RBs for PPR leagues. This is the day where we reveal who our number 1 overall RB is. We all thought we knew hands down that Le’Veon Bell would be our consensus number one guy heading into this season, but then he got suspended for the first four games and that certainly changes things a little bit. For me Bell is still a top guy and you will see just how high as you read on down the page.

10. Matt ForteI would normally have Forte a little bit higher, but there are several unknowns for the Bears this year. I suspect he will be just fine and I may move him up closer to the season.

9. Jeremy HillI am really sold on Hill this year. I think the he is likely going to be a great back for years to come and I even think I may have under-rated him just a bit. This guy just has ‘real deal’ tattooed all over him. He is a hard runner and can do a little bit of everything.

8. LeSean McCoyThe word is that McCoy will be a 300 carry back this year. However, is there going to be anything else going on to keep teams from placing eight or nine defenders in the box? I am not sure and that keeps me from getting too excited about McCoy’s prospects even in the Rex Ryan ‘ground and pound’ scheme.

7. Arian FosterEveryone said last year that Arian Foster was finished and that he would be too injury prone to go out and produce like the year prior. So what did Foster do? Went out and had a top-five fantasy season. Everyone is saying the same thing this year, that Foster won’t make it through the season. Well I will give him one more season at least and say he is a guy I will be happy to draft as a RB1.

6. Marshawn LynchWell the Seahawks have put their money where their mouth is and showed their support of Lynch. I am supporting him as well here with a top-six ranking. I do prefer to own him in standard leagues, but Lynch did pretty well in PPR last year as well.

5. C.J. AndersonSome people are not quite as sold on Anderson as I am here. I think that with this offense and the departure of Julius Thomas we could expect to see a few screens come Anderson’s way. He also is coming into camp at a lighter weight which should translate to more quickness.

  • 4. Le’Veon Bell: I am still taking Bell this high. Plain and simple Bell is a top-notch fantasy football difference maker. He is the guy you want on your team around week 14-16 where the fact that he missed the first four weeks will be as distant a memory as the burrito you had for lunch yesterday.

    3. Eddie LacyI am not a big Lacy fan, but I believe in his offense and his quarterback. I think because of those factors alone he should get many more opportunities to score than almost every other RB in the league. I will be a lot more likely to leave him here if news surfaces he has reported to camp in shape.

    2. Adrian PetersonWell we knew eventually one side or the other would cave in and get to work and it looks like Peterson will be reporting to camp. I am thinking of making him my new number one and may do so by the time the season kicks off. I am very excited to see him in Norv Turner’s fantasy friendly offense.

    1. Jamaal CharlesCharles is not just my number one back, but he will also be my number one overall pick. Charles is a man and he is a definite difference-maker. Draft him without hesitation, but make sure you snatch up his hand cuff as Davis has shown he will be a top-ten type of back in Charles’ absence.
