Well Saturday night was a more than interesting night for Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz, who apparently thought he had been given the authority to toss an umpire from the game.

Yes, in the top of the seventh inning on Saturday night as the Red Sox took on the Kansas City Royals, following a single to center field, Ortiz had some words for the home plate umpire. Eventually, things got so heated that Ortiz was told that his night was coming to a premature end.

From here, things got pretty weird.

Manager John Farrell came out to argue in his player’s defense, and it all ended up with Ortiz getting so worked up over the situation that he eventually came at the umpire with a, “YOU CAN’T THROW ME OUT, I’M THROWING YOU OUT!”

This was a pretty hilarious sequence, as Ortiz can generally be pretty entertaining when he gets all worked up over something. When that man’s head gets hot, there’s no telling what he’ll do.
