In the name of Father’s Day, here is a list of the top father/son duo from each of the “Big 4” sports in America.

For many of us, our sporting career has mirrored that of our fathers’ – learning the game at a young age, playing through grade school (maybe college), hanging up the jock and replaying those glory days over in our minds ad infinitum.

And then there are the others. You know, those guys (and gals). The ones whose dads were kings of their sport and passed it right down to the kids. Like Muhammad Ali fathering championship daughter Laila. Or Rocky Johnson begetting the People’s Champion, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Or every other family in NASCAR (Earnhardts, Jarretts, Pettys, etc.). Sometimes the super genes take over.

So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at the top father/son duo in each of the four major American sports – baseball, basketball, football and hockey. There are a lot of greats who can make a claim for the best, but these four duos stand taller than the rest.
