We’ve seen fans catch foul balls and disrupt plays and prevent outs. Chicago Cubs fans know this all to well with the Steve Bartman incident.
We’ve seen fans catch foul balls while holding babies, children or beer. Now we’ve seen those two moments converge into one, when a Cubs fan caught a foul ball while holding a baby.
This time apparently robbing Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez of an out in the process.

It looked like the ball was definitely catchable for Gonzalez even though he was leaning over the rolled up tarp along the wall.
Maybe this kind of thing will help the Cubs reverse the curse? Nope, it was ruled an out anyways for fan interference, and the Cubs’ curse lives on.
