Top Ten Power Forwards For 2015-2016

We continue to bring you the top ten fantasy basketball players at every position for the 2015-2106 season. Today we are bringing you the top ten power forwards. Power forwards are my favorite players to own in fantasy basketball and I usually wind up with several power forward heavy teams. They do a lot for all formats and the only players I like as much and maybe more some days are point guards.

Favors is one of my favorite players to own over the past few seasons. Many of us have been expecting him to ‘break out’ so to speak and become one of the top two or three PFs in the game. So far that has not really happened yet, but he still remains a very viable player to own in almost all formats.. Power Forward. Utah Jazz. Derrick Favors. 10. player. 118

Power Forward. Miami Heat. Hassan Whiteside. 9. player. 110. Hassan Whiteside really bust onto the fantasy landscape last year and took us all by storm. After spending several seasons as a backup it was like something just clicked when he got a shot with the Heat. He made the most of his opportunity and the rest is history as they say. I am a bit skeptical of his prospects for the upcoming season and I probably won’t own him in many leagues, but this is where I see his value.

Apr 8, 2015; Auburn Hills, MI, USA; Detroit Pistons forward Greg Monroe (10) talks to forward Anthony Tolliver (43) during the third quarter against the Boston Celtics at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Celtics beat the Pistons 113-103. Mandatory Credit: Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Power Forward. Detroit Pistons. Greg Monroe. 8. player. 64. Greg Monroe has always been one of my favorite players to own in fantasy leagues. He has shown great potential since his rookie year and once the Pistons cleared Josh Smith out, he really continued to show that potential. Monroe’s future is a little fuzzy, but his value for me is not.

Apr 28, 2015; Los Angeles, CA, USA; San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan (21), assistant coach Becky Hammon (center) and guard Patty Mills react against the Los Angeles Clippers in game five of the first round of the NBA Playoffs at Staples Center. The Spurs defeated the Clippers 111-107 to take a 3-2 lead. Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

29. Tim Duncan is the ageless living legend and for this guy, one of the, if not the best PF to ever play the game. We may be a bit fuzzy on whether or not Duncan will play this upcoming season, but there are many who thinks he will. If he plays he will certainly continue to be worth owing across all fantasy formats.. Power Forward. San Antonio Spurs. Tim Duncan. 7. player

May 13, 2015; Atlanta, GA, USA; Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap (4) restrains forward DeMarre Carroll (5) after an altercation with Washington Wizards forward Paul Pierce (not shown) during the second half in game five of the second round of the NBA Playoffs at Philips Arena. The Hawks defeated the Wizards 82-81. Mandatory Credit: Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Paul Millsap. 6. player. 125. Paul Millsap is playing great as a Hawk. He is coming off of a great season that saw the Hawks finish with the best record in the Eastern Conference. Millsap and Horford are still learning to play with each other and hopefully they will be even better next season.. Power Forward. Atlanta Hawks

Apr 19, 2015; Cleveland, OH, USA; Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love (0) shoots in the second quarter against the Boston Celtics in game one of the first round of the NBA Playoffs at Quicken Loans Arena. Mandatory Credit: David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

5. player. 156. There is a lot of speculation that Kevin Love will opt out and test the free agent waters this summer. Right now that is all it is though, speculation. We will soon know what he will do, but I like Love for the next fantasy basketball season no matter what happens. I believe if he stays he will know how to play with LeBron James and if he goes he will likely be the best player on the team and move up this board even higher.. Power Forward. Cleveland Cavaliers. Kevin Love

May 6, 2015; Cleveland, OH, USA; Chicago Bulls forward Pau Gasol (16) complains to the referees about a call during the third quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers in game two of the second round of the NBA Playoffs at Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavs won 106-91. Mandatory Credit: Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

24. Pau Gasol really stepped in and showed people who slept on him this season in fantasy leagues that he still has plenty left in the tank. Last year in a standard league I picked up Gasol in the ninth round. Honestly I can’t even believe I let him slip that far. That kind of thing is unlikely to happen again this year.. Power Forward. Chicago Bulls. Pau Gasol. 4. player

Blake Griffin is turning into one of those players that you either love or you hate. One of the reasons why is that he continues to improve his game and round out his stats so that he becomes even more valuable to his team and to your fantasy team. Griffin will likely be among the top of the fantasy PF landscape for years to come.. Power Forward. Los Angeles Clippers. Blake Griffin. 2. player. 77

April 20, 2015; Oakland, CA, USA; New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis (23) looks on during the third quarter in game two of the first round of the NBA Playoffs against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena. The Warriors defeated the Pelicans 97-87. Mandatory Credit: Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Anthony Davis. 1. player. 69. Well I remember just a few seasons ago when I was among the A.D. haters and critics. He has really proven guys like me wrong and shown that he is a fantasy force that is going to be around for some time to come. The skills and abilities that he has are still yet to reach their  full potential and like so many other guys we have talked about thus far, the ceiling of his game may not ever be fully understood.. Power Forward. New Orleans Pelicans
