Top Ten Small Forwards For 2015-2016

We continue to roll on with our top ten lists for the 2015-2016 fantasy basketball season. Today we bring you the top ten small forwards. I like this list especially for those of us who are die hard fantasy players and like to trade over the summer. I would also remind you that these lists are fluid and a whole lot tends to change over the summer as players are traded, opting out and free agent signings make impacts over the summer. Usually however unless it is the real big name players not too much will change for the top ten lists.

Josh Smith. 10. player. 169. Josh Smith seems to have really found his niche with the Rockets. For a while it looked like he was going to wind up an afterthought in Houston, but when Dwight Howard went down with an injury it was like something clicked with him. He finished the season strong and seems to have earned a solid role going forward with the Rockets.. Small Forward. Houston Rockets

9. player. 169. Chandler Parsons had a bit of an up and down season this past year. He seemed to have a tough time adjusting to playing in Dallas and with the offensive firepower of Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis. He did wind up being pretty solid and I like him for the upcoming season, but he certainly lost some value from where he was in Houston.. Small Forward. Dallas Mavericks. Chandler Parsons

I have really grown to like Green and respect his game quite a bit this season. I was one of the people who thought that Green’s fantasy production would fall off this year when the Warriors become fully healthy, but he certainly proved us all wrong and continue to produce at a high clip all season. I like him quite a bit and may move him up even higher this year as the season approaches.. Small Forward. Golden State Warriors. Draymond Green. 8. player. 41

Mar 14, 2015; Memphis, TN, USA; Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (34) drives against the Memphis Grizzlies during the second half at FedExForum. Memphis defeated Milwaukee 96-83. Mandatory Credit: Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo. 7. player. 89. Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the more hyped up players to come on the fantasy scene in some time. Better known as the ‘Greek Freak’ Antetokounmpo is an incredible talent and really came a long way this season as the Bucks really pushed the issue and kept him on the floor at times that other teams and coaches may have taken him out of the game. The Bucks were rewarded and Antetokounmpo grew lot as a player and the Bucks made the playoffs. I like him a lot for next season, but I have a feeling he will be vastly over-rated so I advise a word of caution heading into the 2015-2016 season. I may move him up some, but let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves just yet.. Small Forward

67. Rudy Gay just keeps on producing for fantasy ballers. I am not a huge Rudy Gay fan, but it is hard to argue with owing him for fantasy purposes. He also improved a lot of his career numbers across the board last season with the exception of steals and blocks where he saw a very mild decrease. There is a chance I could switch him and the ‘Greek Freak’ and I certainly would in dynasty or keeper leagues, but I expect Gay may bring a little more consistent production.. Small Forward. Sacramento Kings. Rudy Gay. 6. player

Apr 15, 2015; New Orleans, LA, USA; New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans (1) is defended by San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (2) during a game at the Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans defeated the Spurs 108-103 and earned the 8th seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Tyreke Evans. 5. player. 69. Evans had a really nice season for the Pelicans last year. They made the playoffs and enjoyed a solid winning season. The Pelicans have been rumored to be looking to move Evans for the past few years, but since they made the playoffs this past year they could be looking to add to the core and make another run. Whatever happens I expect Evans to be a solid player and return plenty of fantasy value.. Small Forward. New Orleans Pelicans

Small Forward. San Antonio Spurs. Kawhi Leonard. 4. player. 29. Kawhi Leonard has become one of the better small forwards in all of fantasy and the NBA. I really love his game and what he brings to the table in fantasy. He typically brings more value in roto and cats leagues than he does in points leagues. HE does however bring a lot of fantasy value regardless of format and I like him in this range for almost all fantasy formats.

February 15, 2015; New York, NY, USA; Eastern Conference forward Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks (7) dunks against Western Conference forward Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks (41) during the second half of the 2015 NBA All-Star Game at Madison Square Garden. The West defeated the East 163-158. Mandatory Credit: Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

27. Carmelo Anthony wound up going under the knife and missing the season after the All-Star Break. He should return for the 2015-2016 season in full health and be the usual Carmelo Anthony we have grown to expect.. Small Forward. New York Knicks. Carmelo Anthony. 3. player

Jun 4, 2015; Oakland, CA, USA; Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James (23) speaks the media after game one of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena. Mandatory Credit: Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

LeBron James. 2. player. 156. I know that some people may disagree with this ranking here, especially with all things considered. It really is not much of a secret anymore as to who my #1 SF is at this point. I don’t really think if these two players as one and two but more of 1-A and 1-B. James is really proving a lot of his critics wrong this year and stepping up and accepting the challenge of losing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love both during the playoffs. Really who you take #1 here is mostly just a matter of personal preference.. Small Forward. Cleveland Cavaliers

Next: #1 Small Forward

Feb 9, 2015; Denver, CO, USA; Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant (35) during the game against the Denver Nuggets at Pepsi Center. Mandatory Credit: Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

1. player. 149. Kevin Durant is one of my all-time favorite athletes in all of sports, never mind being one of my favorite players in the NBA. I love the way he handles himself and I love the fact that he is a faith guy. I think that he is one of the most mega-talented guys who have ever laced up a pair of sneakers and I hope that injuries don’t prevent him from reaching his full potential. I am not suggesting that I am worried about his prospects for this upcoming season because if I was he surely would not be my number one guy.. Small Forward. Oklahoma City Thunder. Kevin Durant
