Several top draft prospects have accepted formal invitations from the NBA to see in the illustrious green room, free to sit on the edge of their seats and sweat out their name being called for all to see on live television. Per the crew at DraftExpress, that list includes nineteen of the expected first round picks.
That list, shown here in alphabetical order, includes:

Also noted by DraftExpress, four other players received invitations. The trio of Tyus Jones (Duke), R.J. Hunter (Georgia State), and Delon Wright (Utah) all declined their invitations. Meanwhile, Mario Henzonja of Croatia could still round this list off to an even 20 if his European club, FC Barcelona, loses their playoff game on Wednesday night.
Needless to say, Kentucky will have a large green room presence, with four players from John Calipari’s super squad among the 19 who will attending the draft. According to Chad Ford’s latest big board, all four are expected to be selected in the top 10, a testament again to the recruiting power of Calipari. Duke will have two representatives (Okafor and Winslow), as will Arizona (Hollis-Jefferson, Johnson) and Wisconsin (Dekker and Kaminsky), although the Badgers combo is expected to hear their names called outside of the top 10.
There is still a lot of debate over how the top three picks play out, with Karl-Anthony Towns, Jahlil Okafor, and D’Angelo Russell all expected to be top-3 picks. However, the debate centers around what order they’ll go to the Timberwolves, Lakers, and Sixers accordingly. Regardless, the three are considered sure things to whichever of the three franchises land them.
The NBA Draft broadcast kicks off at 7:00pm, Thursday June 25th on ESPN.
