7. Cedric Ceballos (1990 NBA Draft, 2nd Round, 48th Overall)

Cedric Ceballos is written in the lore of the NBA for his blindfolded dunk in the 1992 NBA Slam Dunk Contest that earned him a win in said contest. However, that often overshadows the fact that Ceballos, who fell to the middle of the second round in the 1990 NBA Draft before being selected by the Phoenix Suns, was a fantastic player even outside of his abilities as a high-flyer.

From 1993-2000, Ceballos played for the Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks. Over that span, though, he was phenomenal. The forward put up 17.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 30.1 minutes per game while shooting a more-than-respectable 49.6 percent from the field. Ceballos’ performance during his prime also earned him a spot in the 1995 NBA All-Star Game.

Ceballos last played in the NBA in the 2000-01 season at just 31 years old before playing overseas, making a stop with the Harlem Globetrotters, and being involved with a number of ABA teams. Even with his career ending a tad prematurely in the NBA, though, Ceballos left his mark on the league in a way that many people wouldn’t have expected given his position in the draft.
