New York Knicks fans are not happy about Kristaps Porzingis pick
By Josh Hill
The NBA Draft is all about building a foundation for the future, and the Knicks are leaning on Kristaps Porzingis to be that guy.
The New York Knicks need to get their future in order, and that future began tonight in Brooklyn. Phil Jackson had incredible pressure on him to make the right pick. That’s up for debate in an official capacity now that the Knicks have taken Kristaps Porzingis with the No. 4 overall pick.
It was never about who the Knicks take, it was always about how their fans will react.
Simply put, it was not a well received by Knicks fans.
The Knicks actually landed a decent prospect, but the fact of the matter is that they’re not going to please their fans no matter what they do. The Knicks could have drafted LeBron James and their fans still would have booed the pick — so there’s no pleasing anyone in any situation.
Still, Knicks fans can boo now, but it’s all about how Porzingis fits in and makes sure they’re not booing when the season starts.
