The first official NBA Draft Day Trade occurred after the No. 15 overall pick and took almost two hours to finally happen.

One of the most thrilling parts of the NBA Draft are the trades that happen that see prospects get drafted by one team and flipped to another. There have been a ton of big draft day trades over the years that involved players like Loul Deng, Rajon Rondo, Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant.

The first official Draft day trade of the night occurred after the No. 15 selection when the Atlanta Hawks picked and then agreed to trade Kansas standout Kelly Oubre.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Washington Wizards will trade for Kelly Oubre, sending the No. 19 pick and two future second-round picks bak to Atlanta.

Here’s a breakdown of the trade:

The Wizards are getting a great talent with Oubre and while they had to give up some future assets to get him, they could come out way ahead when all is said and done on this trade.
