Top Ten Point Guards For 2015-2016

We have come to the last article of our top ten fantasy basketball lists. It is no coincidence that I saved my favorite fantasy position for last since I always like to save the best for last. I had a hard time ranking the shooting guards, but I think that the point guards were just as tough to rank. I am happy with all my lists and as I continue to analyze all of the available data I will make revisions and post them as they become available.

Charlotte Hornets. Kemba Walker. 10. player. 170. Kemba Walker missed a good portion of last season, but before he did he was playing exceptionally well. He played in 62 games which is not really terrible and is not one to miss many random games. When he came back at the end of the season, he was not as good as he had been earlier, but I don’t think he lost his speed or anything due to the injury. There is a good chance Walker will be a climber on this list.. Point Guard

Toronto Raptors. Kyle Lowry. 9. player. 81. Kyle Lowry is another player coming off of a great season and the fact that he is a guy I would want to move up my draft board is another testament to the reason that I love point guards so much. Lowry was a main factor in the Raptors great season and trip to the playoffs this year. I expect him to continue to be a major fantasy factor in 2015-2016.. Point Guard

Apr 1, 2015; Salt Lake City, UT, USA; Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson (3) dribbles the ball in front of Utah Jazz guard Dante Exum (11) during the first quarter at EnergySolutions Arena. Mandatory Credit: Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

player. 73. Ty Lawson was the subject of many trade scenarios at the deadline of the 2014-2105 season. I don’t know where he will be next year, but I do know that Lawson has the skills to be a top fantasy point guard for ears to come. If he winds up traded it could certainly affect his value, but I expect that he won’t move far down the list if he moves down at all.. Point Guard. Denver Nuggets. Ty Lawson. 8

Apr 4, 2015; Phoenix, AZ, USA; Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe (2) dribbles against the Utah Jazz during the first half at US Airways Center. Mandatory Credit: Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

66. Eric Bledsoe became the man in Phoenix this past season and I think he stands a pretty good chance of rising even higher as a star this upcoming season. His game is still improving and the Suns have some pieces to work with and improve their team for this season.. Point Guard. Phoenix Suns. Eric Bledsoe. 7. player

Jun 3, 2015; Oakland, CA, USA; Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving (2) talks to the media before practice prior to the NBA Finals at Oracle Arena. Mandatory Credit: Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Point Guard. Cleveland Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving. 6. player. 156. Kyrie Irving suffered a very unfortunate injury during game one of the NBA Finals. The word is that he will be out for 3-4 months which could possibly hurt his fantasy draft value for the 2015-2106 season. As for now I will leave him in this #6 spot, but if he does not return until around Christmas then we might have to look at moving him down some.

Washington Wizards. John Wall. 4. player. 142. John Wall is another player who is quickly moving up the ranks as an NBA star. He just keeps getting better and better. Wall should be in store for a great 2015-2016 season and is a player that I would love to own in every format.. Point Guard

Los Angeles Clippers. Chris Paul. 3. player. 77. Chris Paul has sat upon the top of the fantasy point guard mountain for the last several years. For me now though, that has changed. For what it is worth, it is not that I think Chris Paul is declining I just think that the two players I have ahead of him are getting better. I still think Paul will be a top-tier fantasy option for this upcoming season, but for point guards I would rather own the next two guys in all formats.. Point Guard

Apr 15, 2015; Minneapolis, MN, USA; Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook (0) flexes after he was fouled in the second quarter against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center. Mandatory Credit: Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

player. 149. Russell Westbrook finished the past two months of the 2014-2015 season like an absolute man on fire. I may have never seen one player seem so determined to carry his team like Westbrook did. The catch is he did it all with Kevin Durant on the bench. I think that he will come back down some for next season, but we will have to remember this for the somewhat inevitable moment when Westbrook and Durant are no longer on the same team.. Point Guard. Oklahoma City Thunder. Russell Westbrook. 2

June 7, 2015; Oakland, CA, USA; Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry speaks to media following the 95-93 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers in game two of the NBA Finals at Oracle Arena. Mandatory Credit: Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Point Guard. Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry. 1. player. 41. Stephen Curry has gone from injury proned, glass ankled point guard who could shoot to league MVP and fantasy MVP who took his game to a whole other level this past season. I am excited to continue to follow his career and see how many of my teams this upcoming season that I can acquire him on.
