Kevin Love

Kevin Love has been linked to a handful of teams and the Knicks are always linked to top free agents. It’s very natural that the two sides have been mentioned together, but that doesn’t mean it’s a legitimate link.

Phil Jackson is hungry for players that fit into his triangle scheme, and it’s hard to predict who fits in that until they actually get there. Still, Love is a tenacious rebounder who is good for at least a double-double per game, even on a bad night.

That’s production the Knicks need.

Love may not fit perfectly into the triangle schemes that Jackson is going to run, but he brings production — something the Knicks haven’t seen any of for at least two years at best.

Cleveland is going to make the hardest run at Love, but if the Knicks are able to get him he could become a monster with Carmelo Anthony in the frontcourt.
