Goran Dragic, Miami Heat (5 years, $90 million)

The Miami Heat bringing back their tremendous point guard was absolutely the right move here, especially considering that they got him at a slight discount as well. That really is the most important part, because that frees up some cash to hopefully be able to keep Dwyane Wade with the team. With  the threat being very real that Wade could bolt to another team at this point, the Heat need all the help they can get to secure the services of the face of their franchise.

On the flip side of that, though, Dragic also becomes some good insurance in case Wade does take off elsewhere. He’s an experienced guard that can drive to the basket like no other, and having a solid point guard around can only help with the progression of rookie Justise Winslow.

With Dragic, Winslow, Chris Bosh, Luol Deng and possibly Wade, the Heat have a legitimate shot to make a run in the East next season. We’ve all seen how great guard play can change the landscape of the NBA, and the Heat have one of the best of them for the next few years in Goran Dragic.
