The NBA Free Agency period is upon us and Robin Lopez is going to be a hot target for teams like the Knicks, Pelicans and Bucks.

Robin Lopez has gone from the so-so twin brother of Brook Lopez to someone who is going to be a top free agent target this summer. The ex-Stanford big man is going to be someone that a handful of teams throw some serious money at and he’s about to have a great offseason.

According to Shams Charania of RealGM, the Bucks, Knicks and Pelicans will make a play at Robin Lopez this summer to get him to come in and be their center of the future. Still, the Blazers will try to re-sign Lopez despite the interest coming from around the league.

"The Blazers will assuredly pursue re-signing Lopez, too. The 27-year-old big man stabilized Portland’s center position over the past two seasons alongside LaMarcus Aldridge, averaging 11.1 points and 8.5 rebounds in 2014-15, and there is believed to be an interest for Lopez to play with Aldridge again next season."

The Knicks getting Lopez could be huge, but it might be complicated by their plans to sign Greg Monroe or LaMarcus Aldridge. Monroe is going to be a top target for the Knicks but there might be a chance to get them both.

A more realistic target for Lopez, aside from the Blazers, seem to be the Milwaukee Bucks. They have the means to sign a big free agent and the need to sign a big man. Ditto for the Pelicans, who just handed out $145 million to Anthony Davis but need to find a way to round out the roster.

Lopez was a target for the Pelicans last season when they traded for Tyreke Evans, but they never landed him. Now that he’s a free agent, New Orleans might finally be able to grab Lopez to round out their frontcourt and be the contenders they’re pegged to be next season.
