Dale Earnhardt Jr. picked up his second win of the season as he was faster than the rest at the Coke Zero 400.

Surviving caution flag after caution flag, and a green-white-checkered finish, Dale Earnhardt Jr. once again outlasted the competition as he won the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

In what was a race that was supposed to occur on Sunday night, became a race that started at almost midnight and ended near 3 a.m. in the morning. With Florida weather being what it typically is in July, rain and storms rolled through that prevented NASCAR from getting started.

With another storm set to begin in the morning, NASCAR had no choice but to begin the race late in the night and get it on the books. Despite being late in the night, it had it’s fair share of excitement, as there were several close passes and several incidents that involved cars spinning and flying across the infield.

What was not exciting, but rather terrifying, was young phenom, Austin Dillon, flying through the air as the cars came to the finish line as a wreck sent several drivers crashing through the checkered flag. Dillon would take out the safety fence and bounce back onto the track upside down. Luckily he would be okay and be able to walk away.

It’s a race that will be remembered for the wreck, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. put on his best performance of the season.

With Earnhardt Jr. winning, here is the complete finishing order for the Coke Zero 400.
