A few teams will have some tough decisions to make at the July 31 MLB trading deadline.

With under four weeks remaining until the MLB trade deadline, including a few days off for the All-Star break, teams are quickly getting a handle on what direction they should take on July 31.

The addition of the second wild card has had a major impact on the trade deadline. Most teams are still within reasonable distance of a playoff spot, making many hesitant to sell with the idea they can still sneak into the postseason.

Still, a few true sellers such as the Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers and Miami Marlins have emerged. Contenders like the St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and others will be attempting to make the necessary additions to put themselves over the top.

For other teams on the fence, the decision to buy or sell won’t be as easy.
