10 struggling MLB stars poised for a second half breakout
This is a name that might not be recognized by the casual MLB fan, but Julio Teheran has been an absolute stud for the past two seasons in an Atlanta Braves uniform.

Teheran, a fifth-year player from Colombia, has become one of the stars of the National League when it comes to starting pitching and Atlanta has begun to expect a lot from him.
Since becoming a full-time starter in 2013, Julio proved that he was worthy of 200-plus inning seasons and 30-plus starts. In fact, he has recorded over 80 starts since 2013 and has delivered. Teheran had a 3.20 ERA with a 14-8 record and 170 strikeouts in 30 starts during the 2013 season and followed that up with 33 starts equaling a 14-13 record, 186 strikeouts and a 2.89 ERA.
At the age of 24, Julio Teheran is looking to carry that momentum into his prime, but the start of the 2015 season has caused him to take a step back. So far this season, he has started 18 games, recorded a 4.64 ERA and has a 6-4 record.
Besides having a career-low ERA and looking to be on pace for only 11 wins, Teheran is also looking at a personal worst for strikeouts for a full season.
The Braves are fighting for a division title, currently five games out of first place, and will need Julio to produce. His stuff is just too good to continue this mediocre pace.
