After showing Donald Trump some love, Matt Harvey might not be the hero of New York that he once was

Over the course of the past few years, New York Mets ace Matt Harvey has pretty much been a hero to all New York sports fans. When you’re as good as he is on the mound and you don’t play for the Yankees, it’s refreshing to a city that’s always looking for a new hero.

However, what we also know about New York, especially the newspapers and tabloids, is that at the drop of a hat they will turn their backs on you and immediately turn you into the villain. Unfortunately, this is something that happened to Harvey recently.

Harvey was recently on the new golf course in the Bronx that is owned by none other than Donald Trump. As we know, with his controversial presidential campaign, Trump isn’t exactly the most popular person in the country, much less New York. Well after the golf outing, Harvey took to Instagram to thank Trump for his little outing, and the backlash immediately came out. He deleted the post, but after all, this is the internet — once it’s out there for just a little bit, it’s game over.
