The Dallas Mavericks are pissed. They reportedly had a deal in place for a week with free-agent center DeAndre Jordan, at four years and $80 million. Jordan was going to be replacing Tyson Chandler, who was leaving Dallas after his second tour of duty their to play for the Phoenix Suns on a four-year, $52 million pact.

As everyone now knows, Jordan went back on his word and decided to stay with the Los Angeles Clippers after Doc Rivers, Blake Griffin, J.J. Redick and Chris Paul flew down to Houston and spoke with him. The decision leaves Dallas in ruins.

Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons did most of the recruiting to land Jordan, and has been vocal about his displeasure with Jordan. Recently, TMZ caught up with Chandler in California and interviewed him about the situation with Jordan and the Mavericks.

"“He’s upset because he did the recruiting and it didn’t necessarily pay off,” Chandler said. “He’s a little butthurt, but he is a good dude, though.”"

Well, as long as he is a good dude.

The former Defensive Player of the Year also answered some other questions from the TMZ reporter, including whether he felt Cuban was “done dirty” but Jordan.

"“I don’t know if I would say he did him dirty. Every man has his own right to make his own decision. The way it played out was a little iffy but he had that right.”"

But does Chandler feel bad for Cuban?

"“No, I brought a championship to that city. I don’t feel bad.”"

When Chandler was asked if Jordan’s reputation with other players took a hit, he gave a quick response.

"“Not at all,” Chandler said. “He heart was still in L.A., man. For me, I was surprised that he made the decision to begin with. Him, Chris Paul and Blake, they have something special. I think it just took him a little bit of time to recognize that.”"
