Early Lineup

Players from the seven games starting at 4:05, 4:10 or 6:35 PM ET

SP-Chris Sale-Chicago White Sox

SP-Jake Odorizzi-Tampa Bay Rays

C-John Jaso-Tampa Bay Rays: Jaso is 8-15 (.533) since returning from the DL including going 1-3 with a double yesterday against the Astros. With so much uncertainty at catcher with day games following night games, Jaso is a nice pick since he’s almost guaranteed to be in the lineup at DH or OF if he’s not behind the plate.

1B-Billy Butler-Oakland Athletics: Butler is a nice value play as he and the A’s take on the Indians where he has plenty of experience from his time in KC.  He is 8-20 in his career against tonight’s starter Carlos Carrasco with a pair of home runs and four RBI.

2B-D.J. LeMahieu-Colorado Rockies: LeMaheiu is 12-24 in his last six games and has started the series against Atlanta with a pair of multi-hit games. Hitting near the top of the lineup in hitter-friendly Coors Field makes him an interesting play this afternoon.

3B-Kelly Johnson-Atlanta Braves: Johnson continues to be a great bargain play for the Braves and is on the other side of that same matchup in the Mile High City. Johnson homered yesterday and now has three home runs this week going 9-22 (.409) with ten RBI.

SS-Francisco Lindor-Cleveland Indians

OF-Yoenis Cespedes-Detroit Tigers

OF-Billy Burns-Oakland Athletics: Burns has cooled off the last two days, but he still is hitting leadoff and playing at full speed.  He’s a stolen base threat any time he reaches and is still hitting .312 in his 61 games with Oakland this season.

OF-Melky Cabrera-Chicago White Sox: Cabrera has hit safely in nine straight and has started July 12-33 (.364) with a pair of home runs. He knows Jon Lester well from their time in the AL East and is 12-42 (.286) against him with a pair of doubles, a home run, and four RBI.
