Welcome to another edition of Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire. We here at Fantasy CPR strive to give you the best advice possible to help you in ever aspect of your fantasy sports teams. In order for a player to be featured here the player must be under 50% ownership in ESPN.com leagues. This advice can be good for most teams across most formats and I will try to mention if i like a guy in a different format. With the All-Star Break upon us it is a great time to inventory your team and try to improve in weak areas and categories.
Erick Aybar, Angels: Aybar or Admiral Ackbar as I like to call him, has certainly been playing well enough to warrant a pickup. He has hit safely in eight of his last ten games and doing a decent job gathering a few runs and RBI. At this point the waiver wire has become thin, but if you don’t work it you will find yourself trying to dig out of a hole. Hopefully this pickup is not a trap.
Marlon Byrd, Reds: Byrd is not going to put you in line for the ship in your league, but other than is last two games he has hit the ball really well. Chances are you have an expendable player on your roster that you can cut for Byrd and get a leg up on your competition.
Trevor Plouffe, Twins: Plouffe is a name that I have mentioned here before, but he is playing well and is worth mentioning again. Right now his ownership level on ESPN.com leagues is 35.3 and his card on ESPN lists him as the #8 third baseman. Plouffe is a decent source of power and will hopefully hit another 10 home runs over the rest of the season.

Rougned Odor, Rangers: If you are looking for help at 2B, then you need to go and pick Odor up right away. He is playing good and looks to be a decent source in five cats for the rest of the season. So far he has five steals and four homers. He is also improving on his batting average and could wind up being a guy who really helps you down the stretch in H2H leagues.
David Peralta, Diamondbacks: Peralta is playing like a man possessed in a good way lately. He has been racking up on runs and RBI and should continue to be a guy who is worth rostering across most formats heading into the second half of the season. He is a guy I would want to have on my team while he is hot and ride him into the wind.
As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you fantasy ballers the best of luck in the second half of the MLB season!
