The saga between the Dallas Cowboys and wide receiver Dez Bryant will eventually be reaching a new level here, as the deadline to get a long-term deal done is on Wednesday. If the two sides can’t come to an agreement, then the drama may only get larger.

Well, apparently, the Cowboys are making sure that there is no drama by the time that this day is over.

With that deadline looming, the Cowboys have reportedly upped their offer from the $13 million per season that was reported on Tuesday afternoon. Because of this, Bryant might be seeing some light at the end of the tunnel here.

That’s good news for Bryant and maybe something that we all saw coming eventually. This process has played out a little longer than maybe that should have, but it looks like the Cowboys might be coming to their senses in regards to keeping their franchise wide receiver in the fold.

As we know, should a deal not get done by the deadline on Wednesday, then Bryant has made it clear that he will sit out of training camp and maybe even some regular season games. Being such an integral part to the success of this team, Jerry Jones and Cowboys management know this is something that just cannot happen.

But as of right now, it appears as if something is pretty close to getting done and all the parties involved will be ready to tackle the 2015 NFL season with the start of training camp soon here in July.
