In a chance happening, Pete Rose was finally able to meet with MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred
The 2015 MLB All-Star Game has come and gone, and there were once again a few moments that we will never forget. However, one of them that will undoubtedly never leave our minds is seeing more Pete Rose than we have on an MLB broadcast in probably forever. The all-time hit king was part of the FOX broadcast and he even took part in the pregame festivities as part of the best four players in Reds history.
After the game, however, we would find out about the most interesting aspect of Rose’s appearance on Tuesday.
When talking about all that had happened throughout the day, Rose admitted that he finally got a chance to meet new MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred.
Now this might be the biggest news to come out of the All-Star Game happenings over the course of the past few days.
While there was really not a chance in this world that Bud Selig was going to let him into the Hall of Fame, Rose knows that he has a fresh chance with the new commissioner in Manfred. If he can get into his good graces over time, there’s no telling what can happen.
It was just a brief meeting and Rose said there have been no future ones set up, but this could ultimately end up being the beginning of something people have been waiting a long time for.
