Carl Edwards will be on the pole when the 5-Hour Energy 301 at New Hampshire begins on Sunday.
After dominating at Kentucky last week, Joe Gibbs Racing is on the way to dominating the racing scene yet again this week at New Hampshire as all drivers will be in the top-8 when the NASCAR 5-hour ENERGY 301 begins.
For Carl Edwards though, it will be a wide open view as he leads the rest of the drivers to the green flag of Sunday’s race. In qualifying, Edwards was faster than the rest at the short track as he was the fastest time at a speed at 135.164 mph.
While the rest of his teammates, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth are up near the front with him, it’s a different face that will be alongside him when the race begins.
Enter David Ragan.
Ragan was the second fastest car in qualfiying, and as a result, he will have a great chance at stealing a win and a spot in “The Chase” at New Hampshire. Getting past Carl Edwards won’t be easy, as last week he was one of the fastest cars on the track, and with a full team behind him, he will have plenty of help. If Ragan can compete, it will set up for an interesting showdown on Sunday.
With qualifying complete, here the complete starting grid for Sunday’s race.
