WWE will be in St. Louis, MO on Sunday July 19 for Battleground, their next pay-per-view event. Battleground will be the final pay-per-view before the WWE Universe makes their way to the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY for Summerslam, arguably the company’s second biggest event of the year. With Battleground paving the way for Summerslam, St. Louis and the WWE Universe could be in for a treat on Sunday night.

The pay-per-view return of Brock Lesnar is the big attraction for Battleground as he will finally be getting his rematch against Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins has indignantly been gloating since winning the title, but Lesnar seems bent on tearing the champ apart and recapturing the belt for himself.

Kevin Owens and John Cena will be going at it for a third time at Battleground, this time with the United States Championship on the line. The two superstars have torn it up in their two previous pay-per-view/special event matches and Sunday night shouldn’t be any different. What will be interesting is to see the desperation that Owens competes with now that he has lost his NXT Championship and seemingly needs Cena’s title to prove himself.

What has fans excited about Battleground the most is the rumored return of The Undertaker on Sunday night. Everything that is being tossed around the internet leading up to Battleground indicates that the Deadman will be back and his involvement will set up his program for Summerslam. Any time The Undertaker is involved, it’s a major deal for WWE and their fans.

In addition to the matches we’ve already discussed, there should be plenty of other good action at Battleground on Sunday night. Here is the full card for the show in St. Louis.
