Brandon Phillips made one of the best plays of the entire year on Monday with this toss to second base
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips has proven time and time again throughout the years to show that he’s one of the best at the position of this generation. In the field, Phillips has made some plays that made us recognize this fact.
Well on Monday night he was at it again, and it was one of the best plays of his career. As a matter of fact, it was one of the best plays of the year in all of baseball.
With the Reds taking on the Cubs Monday night, check out the play below where Phillips makes this insane, no-look toss to second base to get the out after the nice snag.
That was simply awesome and more proof positive that the man was born to play the position. Not many people may realize the instincts it takes to complete a play like that, and it’s skills that we only wish that we can possess.
Phillips might be a veteran of the league at this point and definitely not getting any younger, but without a doubt you would want him manning your infield in a heartbeat if you could.
