Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter was arrested on Monday in connection with a recent bar fight
With Tennessee Titans training camp looming on the horizon here in July, the team got some news they really could have done out with on Monday. Wide receiver Justin Hunter was arrested in Virginia for his connection in a bar fight that took place earlier this month, according to TMZ Sports.
Back on July 3, Hunter was apparently involved in a massive brawl that took place at the “Sandbar Raw Bar,” and he surrendered to authorities on felonious assault charges.
Hunter, 24, is regarded as one of the more promising young stars in the NFL. Getting set to enter his third year in the NFL coming up, the Titans are looking to him as one of the players that can help turn the fortunes of this franchise around.
Last season in Tennessee, Hunter played in 12 games and caught 28 balls for 498 yards and three touchdowns. Not eye-popping numbers by any means, but entering just this third year, the coaching staff could see some potentially nice progression on the horizon.
Now, though, before he can get back on the field and continue getting better, he’s going to have to deal with the ramifications from this unfortunate incident first.
