  • Not having quite the campaign they expected to endure, the Brewers are 11 games under .500 and 17.5 games out of first place, sitting in the basement of the NL Central. There is basically no shot for this team to make the playoffs unless they will about six games to every one loss from here on out.

Carlos Gomez is a guy who will draw some major interest from some top teams in the league and the Brewers would likely get a ton of young talent for him.

As one of the best hitters in the league, Gomez is batting just .268 with a mere eight home runs and 41 RBI this season. Hit power numbers are way down for some reason, but he’s still as valuable as ever.

In fact, over his last three years, he has averaged 22 home runs and 66 RBI. It took him a while to get warmed up to playing in the majors, but the 29-year-old is hitting his stride and he’s in his prime with a ton of production left to give.

Yet another case of premier outfield talent being for sale by the deadline and teams like the New York Mets have already inquired about him.

Don’t be surprised to see this big name moved.
