Golf fans are being treated to something rare as they settle into their work week — a Monday finish at the Open Championship. A rainy weekend pushed play back and has forced a Monday finish for the tournament, something no one is complaining about as they return to work.

The golfers everyone wants to see will play late into the day, as Jordan Spieth and the others at the to of the leaderboard didn’t tee off until after 9am ET. All the hot names from this weekend are grouped together, but no name is hotter than that of Irishman Paul Dunne.

Dunne, who actually played college golf at UAB, stormed out of seemingly nowhere to dominate the leaderboard and put his name at the top of the list of favorites to win the tournament. Dunne winning the British Open would block American Jordan Spieth from winning his third major of the year and would effectively end the run for a grand slam.

The final round at St. Andrews will be about more than Dunne and Spieth, as former British Open champ Louis Oosthuizen and Aussie Jason Day are each a shot ahead of Jordan Spieth heading into the final round of the tournament, tied with Dunne for a share of the lead.

Spieth shot up the leaderboard as well on Sunday afternoon at St. Andrews, finishing his third round 11-under and tied for a share of the lead. Most of the golfers that Spieth was tied with at the time — namely Dunne as well as Jason Day — weren’t done yet and continued to build a lead on the Masters champ.
