Albert Pujols is unquestionably one of the best hitters that we have seen in the history of the game, and on Monday in a doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox, he made sure that we all realized that fact bey further etching his name in the record books.

After some rain hindered the action on Sunday, the Angels took on the Red Sox in a doubleheader and Pujols’ bat was more than ready to make some history.

Throughout the two games that were played, Pujols belted three home runs, the second of which tied him with Mike Schmidt for 15th on the all-time home runs list. Of course, it goes without saying, the third blast put him all by himself on one of the most heralded lists in all of sports.

Pujols has just been absolutely going off this year with the bat, and quite frankly it’s been a joy to watch. With some questions coming into the season as to whether or not he was on the decline in his career, it’s pretty evident that he’s ready to make a late push in his career.
