NBA Players vote James Harden MVP

The NBA players voted Houston Rockets guard James Harden the league’s MVP.

Earlier this spring, Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry won the NBA MVP award en route to leading his team to their first NBA title in decades.

But it looks like the players saw the NBA season, and specifically who was the most valuable player, a little bit differently.

The NBA Players Association vote on their own awards now and they awarded the season MVP to Houston Rockets guard James Harden.

The award was given out during the NBPA’s first-ever Players Award’s show on BET. Seems like the NBA MVP debate that we all thought ended months ago will likely resurface, at the very least on local sports radio stations around the country looking to fill out time.

It is surprising though considering the dominant matter in which Curry won the MVP, receiving 100 of a possible 130 first place votes. Is Harden simply more popular in the league or do the NBAPA really think he was better then Curry during the season?

Also… did LeBron James vote for himself as promised?
